The Betzy Drop Earring is a part of our new collection, Ostara, but also a further development of one of Hydra's (previous collection) most beloved pieces.
Each piece in the Hydra collection is named after a person who made a difference - this is to honour people who has used their voice to speak up against different forms of injustice.
The Betzy Drop Earring is named after the Norwegian feminist and women's right activist Betzy Kjelsberg. She is one of the reasons working conditions was improved in Norway in the early 20th century, with a ban on child labour, the introduction of 8-hours days and paid maternity leave.
